Graduation Projects

The last third part of the program concentrates on helping students to complete short films which will act as a portfolio and showcase for their film making skill and abilities. By replicating real life practices, students will go through a process where they will need to pitch themselves in order to gain funding, and then build the crews needed for several projects. With extensive mentorship from industry professionals and others, the aim is to build the strongest films possible.
Courses include:

  • Intermediate cinematography
  • Advanced editing and post-production
  • Sound design
  • Colour correction
  • Grant writing
  • New and interactive media
  • Career-planning and networking
Build your reel

Your reel is your showcase, calling card, and promotional tool. It is proof of your filmmaking abilities, skills, and dedication.
Graduates will leave with a minimum of four portfolio pieces which will demonstrate their creative film making abilities.
The four films will include:

  • Short Film (2–4 minutes)
  • Commercial Advertisement
  • Documentary Film
  • Grad Project (7–15 minute drama)

Fall 2015 Intake: October 13, 2015 to May 6, 2016
Program Cost - Domestic Students: $5,900 CAD
Program Cost - International Students: $6,200 CAD
Spring 2016 Intake: March 14, 2016 to September 16, 2016
Application deadline for Fall 2015 is June 15, 2015.
